As the Body of Messiah, it's important that we reach people with the Bread of Life, the Word of God. It's also Scripturally clear that we have an obligation to see to those in need - widows, orphans, and the poor. We strive to maintain programs that accomplish all of those goals set before us in God's Word.
One great aspect of community is that we can also lend and hand when we're needed and led by the Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit). Many times, we come together to help roof a house (or even rebuild a house like when it flooded in Monroe), pay a bill, replace some windwos, do some yard work, and many other needs that may arise. If you or someone you know needs a helping hand, please, don't hesitate to contact us for those needs
If you want to volunteer or donate to any of our outreach programs below, contact us. Every other week we spotlight organizations in need in the northern Louisiana area in our newsletter...
Grace Place Soup Kitchen
Grace Place has been on Jackson St since 2000, and they have been providing meals for those in need on a regular basis since then. They are open for serving on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of every week, and they depend on groups in the community to provide the meals. Beit Shalom has taken on the fourth Monday of every month. We have a great core team that comes together to provide a healthy and tasty meal. All meals provided to Grace Place through Beit Shalom are kosher.
Crucified Life Ministries
Crucified Life Ministries is a missions-based ministry located in Costa Rica and run by Joel Sanchez. It is a torah-observant ministry, bringing the Truth of Scripture in its fullness to the locals and natives of Costa Rica. Joel is one of our own as his hometown is Oak Grove, LA.
Crucified Life Ministries also runs a teen camp and missons training camp each year that allows our young people to get hands on training in Costa Rica. These programs have been a huge success in the past, and we're excited to be a part o them.
