As you have read in our About Us section, this congregation was formed by three like-minded home churches coming together in one accord, and for that reason we have three pastors.  Not only did this bring the groups together seemlessly, it added a level of accountability and a unified front of leadership that has work well for our community.  Each of the pastors has a very different backgroud, bringing a well-rounded aspect of leadership to the assembly that is used to serve a wide range of believers.

One characteristic of each pastor is that they all have a heart to serve people and help raise up a community of beleivers that walks like our Messiah walked, and they each have a true open-door policy for anyone that is in need.  It is for that reason that the title of pastor was chosen for each. Read up on each pastor below.

Laymond Tucker, Jr.

Laymond Tucker is a faithful servant to YHWH (God Our Father) and Yeshua

Ha’Mashiach (Jesus Christ). He works with their Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit) to lead others into the glory that is inherent in following the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was born-again through Yeshua, known to him then as Jesus Christ, in 2004, became an ordained minister in 2006, and began his ministry preaching and teaching for his first congregation in 2007. He gained extensive experience in teaching The Good News of Yeshua over the next 5 years after which, in 2012, he became Torah observant and began teaching and following God’s Word in It’s entirety. Laymond is in constant and continual education through Bible Studies

from world-renowned Bible Scholars, Hebrew Educators and Linguist, Temple Study Scholars, and the diligent research in connection with all 12 tribes of our Hebrew ancestors in the Bible. He also plays the base guitar during worship service each Saturday. Laymond and his wife of 35 yrs. began a home fellowship in 2015, and it is proof of his fellowship’s strong personal relationships with YHWH, Our Abba (Father), that his teachings are sound and firmly rooted in God’s Word.

Laymond is a husband to the wonderful Traci Tucker, father to two loving

children Cindy and Matt, and grandfather to an amazing 5 children: Emma, Ethan, Emery, Ella, and Maverick. His son Matt was just sworn in as a deputy sheriff of Union Parish, and he and Traci couldn’t be more proud of Cindy or Matt in all they have accomplished. He is most pleased with his children and grandchildren’s

continuing to grow closer to our God. He is filled with The Spirit and extremely pleased with the formation of Beit Shalom (House of Peace), believing with all his heart it will further all it’s members walk with God and the kingdom of Yeshua our Savior.

An interesting piece of trivia about God’s Plan for Laymond: He was left on a

street corner in San Diego as a baby and did not know his real name until he was 7 years old. Because of this, he has a unique ability to connect with the “Lost Sheep” of God’s flock that are so often mentioned in the Bible. His name Laymond seems almost too fitting. During his teachings he often put’s things in “Laymond’s terms,” which everytime he speaks sounds like “layman’s terms.” This is fitting because his teachings have a beauty and grace to them that put God’s Word in simple language that everyone can understand, Bible scholar and humble follower alike. Laymond’s personal struggles in his walk and his testimony about the glory, persecution, peace, and joy of following God’s Word have brought many to Christ. When asked, what is the most important aspect of your ministry or teachings, he replied: “ Just me talking about Him. All I want is to glorify my King Yeshua and Our Father.” When asked for a message to give to anyone thinking about coming to visit Beit Shalom Messianic Congregation, he said “Welcome!” and quoted God’s Word: “The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

Matt Nappier

Matt has been a believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for many years and has been on the Torah-Observant path since 2007.   He has a unique background that links in particular aspects to his studies and teachings.  He quickly connected with well-known Messianic teachers early in his walk, and he is currently enrolled in Joe Good's Temple course among other avenues of continued learning.  Matt loves to draw on historical records and 1st Century context in search of a deeper aspect to the Biblical narrative, especially in reference to the Messiah.

Matt graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a degree in Social Sciences.  He then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Old Testament Studies from Amridge University, and he is currently a PhD candidate at the same university.  He serves as an active duty servicemember and lives on a working farm.  He married Malissa in 2008, and they have three beautiful girls and one handsome boy.

Nathan Hall

Nathan was raised from a young age to follow Jesus/Yeshua, and he was placed in a position of leadership in almost every church he attended. He taught the youth boys at Twin City Bible church, and he also led many bible studies on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Nathan was shown in 2009 that if we walk in the way that Jesus/Yeshua walked then we could better serve God/YHWH.

He has led or helped lead a home church since 2013 and has a passion to do the will of God. Nathan is married to Kristy Hall and has three children.
